I did this work for L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Contest. It was printed in L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 23. This is my first try in doing illustrations. It was interesting experience for me to implement somebody’s idea in life, to understand this story as if it is my own thoughts and feelings. In my illustration according to given story I have shown that how King Tutankhamun is used as a doll without paying attention that he is alive and has his own feelings and wishes. Character above him is collective image of all the qualities of typical modern man today influenced by money, lust for power and using other people for own profit. In short I am showing the whole tragic situation of a King from the past struggling in future. While doing my artwork I was thinking of illustrating whole story without choosing some particular scene because I was impressed with the complete idea.
